The 3 Kings (los Reyes Magos)
On the 5th of January Spain celebrates the 3 kings, a day which marks the end of the Christmas festivities. It is a day that holds more significance for the Spanish, particularly for the children as traditionaly it is the 3 kings that give presents and not Father Christmas and while most will get a gift or two for Christmas day most of their presents will be given by the 3 kings. Most towns will have a procession where the 3 kings will parade through the strrets handing out sweets to the children as they go.
